Naomi Cook

November 3, 1939 — April 16, 2022

Gladys Naomi Cook, 82, of Mansfield, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, in her home.  Born on November 3, 1939 in Scioto County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Alice Hale Roof and retired from Therm-O-Disc after 35 years of service.

Gladys was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed working with crafts, baking, taking care of her house, but…most importantly taking care of her grandkids.

Also preceding her in death were her husband of 37 years, Melvin “Bill” Cook, and brothers Denver Roof, Homer Roof and Clifton Roof.

Surviving are two sons, Billy (Tina) Cook of Mansfield and Kevin (Tammy) Cook of Lucas; two daughters, Vicky Mullins of Mansfield and Lisa (Jerry) Payton of Sciotoville; three sisters, Sharon Newman of Florida, Karen Horsley of Wheelersburg and Delores (Tim) Warner of Wheelersburg; six grandchildren, Michelle Cook, Heather Perry, Gregory Mullins, Chelsea Mullins Nicole Dunahue and Ryan Cook; eleven great-grandchildren, Andrew Hawthorne, Yamia Hawthorne, Alexis Perry, Kamden Perry, Baylee Mullins, Bentlee Mullins, Everlee Mullins, Khylei Mullins, Emerie Dunahue and Baylor Dunahue and a very special great-great granddaughter, Hazel Hawthorne.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21st, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.  Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
