Paul Eldridge

Paul E. Eldridge, 61, of New Boston, died Sunday, October 16, 2016, at his residence. Born on June 27, 1955, he was a son of Chlotine Amy Eldridge and Paul Robert Penix.
Before disabilities, Paul worked as a cook, custodian, hospital aide, security officer and multiple area odd jobs. He was a former four term president of Cliffside Tenant Council, member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates from 1982-1985, member of United Commercial Travelers and Central Baptist Church.
Paul was a resident of the former Hillcrest Children’s Home from 1956-1972 and the adolescent ward of Athens State Institution.
Paul’s foster parents included Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Rein, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Dottie Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Parker.
He was a 1974 graduate of Portsmouth High School and attended Shawnee State University for one year. Paul has been a resident of Ohio his entire life.
A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20th, at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum in Memorial Burial Park with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating.
Friends may visit at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
