Paul Glen Hollis, 80, of Sciotoville, died Thursday, February 9, 2017, at his home. Born on November 18, 1936 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late William and Verna Smith Hollis, was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and was retired from the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.
Glen, an Army veteran of the Viet Nam Era, was very proud of having grandchildren presently in the Army, Marines and Air Force.
Also preceding him in death were four brothers, William, Richard, Gene and Roger Hollis.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Hagerman Hollis, a son, Michael (Margaret Shannon) Hollis of Columbus; a daughter, Melissa (Clint) McGraw of Sciotoville; six grandchildren, Austin Hollis, Marine Sgt. Brandon (Leah) Woodard, Steven McGraw, Seth McGraw, Airman Cheyanne McGraw, and PFC Dakota McGraw; and two great-grandsons, Greyson and Elijah Woodard.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Lynn Wessel officiating followed by military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. A gathering will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Brant’s. Memorial gifts may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
