Rita Burt

Rita S. Burt, age 60, of Toledo, passed away after a lengthy illness on December 4, 2011, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 13, 1951 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary E. (Carter) Hardin. For 17 years Rita worked at Meijer’s as an inventory associate, where she always looked forward to her Saturday morning breakfasts with fellow co-workers. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo and most importantly, spending time with her family. Rita was also a member of the Local 75, UFCW. Rita was also preceded in death by her sister, Violet, and brothers, Don and Ed. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Monica (Chris) Mugavero and Jason (April) Burt; grandchildren, Nick, Kayla and Jacob Mugavero and Dylan and Ashley Burt; sisters, Daisy Cottle and Mildred Hiles; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be in Meade Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
