Robert Elkins

Robert C. Elkins , age 85, of New Boston, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on November 13, 1928 in New Boston, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Fultz Elkins. Robert was a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict, was retired from the Goodyear Atomic Plant, and attended the New Boston First Church of the Nazarene.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Leola Lawhun Elkins, a daughter, Dawn Elaine Thomas, a grandson, Andy Thomas, two brothers, Jerry and Richard Elkins, and a sister, Louise Sanford.
Surviving are a grandson, Aaron Thomas of Westerville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
