Ruth Imes

Ruth E. Imes, 94, of Hernando, FL, formerly of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Ruth was born on April 26, 1917 in Portsmouth, to the late Cleveland and Carrie (Weeks) Willliams. She was a homemaker and member of Berean Baptist Church and attended the Hernando Church of the Nazarene after her relocation to Florida. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Chester Eugene Imes and one sister, Pauline. Survivors include her two daughters, Judith (Robert) Casteel of Hernando, FL and Patsy (William) Miller of San Antonio, TX, five grandchildren, Lisa Place, Lori Biggs, Angela Bickford, Steven Kayser and Aaron Kayser, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Seth Waggoner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to HPH Hospice Foundation, 3545 N. Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
