Samuel “Sam” Mullins, 76, of Bluffton, SC, and formerly of Wheelersburg, went to his eternal home on December 11, 2011. Born on December 31, 1934 in Drift, KY, he was a son of the late Marion and Draxie Mullins. Sam was a 1953 graduate of Minford High School, a graduate of Ohio University and Xavier University and served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement from the Lancaster City Schools, he owned and operated the Best Hearing Aids and Horizon Health Care, Inc. in New Boston. He was a 32 degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and The Church of the Cross. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Roberta Mullins, one daughter, Diana (Gregg) Shough of Pickerington, two grandsons, Geoffrey Shough and Mark Shough both of Austin, TX, and two nephews, Robert (Vonnie) Blahnik of DeBary, FL and John (Betty) Blahnik of Green Bay, WI. He was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. A masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday by the Western Sun Lodge #91. Memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J.
