Sylvia Graham, 71, of Sciotoville, died Friday, August 31, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice House. Born on April 25, 1941 in Franklin Furnace, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Lillian Devaney Johnson Cross, was retired from the former Marting’s Department Store, and last worked in the deli department at Minford Shop Wise. Also preceding her in death was her husband, James Graham, a brother, Dana Ratcliff and a sister, Lillian “Marilyn” Johnson. Surviving are two sons, James (Kendall) Graham of Minford and Jeffery Graham of Columbus; two daughters, Brenda (Jeff Charles) Marsh and Angela (Sam McGuire) Graham, all of Sciotoville; four sisters, Maxine Wilder, Amanda “Birdie” Nickel and Terri Florek, all of Ill., and Karen Hartford of Wisc.; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive their friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Brant’s in Sciotoville. Memorial contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice.
