Teiko Lawhun, 80, of Sciotoville, died peacefully at home on Friday, February 5, 2016. Born on January 11, 1936 in Nagasaki, Japan, she was a daughter of the late Maskiyo and Umeko Eguchi Ikeshima and was employed as a cook at the former Portsmouth Receiving Hospital.
Also preceding her in death was her son, Louis Lawhun in 1988.
Teiko is survived by her husband, Leo Lawhun; three brothers, Akizu, Rooti and Kioshi Ikeshima, all of Japan and two sisters, Junko Ikeshima and Ryoko Nakagawa, both of Japan.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Leo will receive guests at Brant’s after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
