UNA G. MILLHUFF, 88, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth. Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, on February 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John Caudill and Ida Wheeler Caudill and was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Caudill. Una and her late husband, Clyde “Rod” Millhuff, whom she married on March 22, 1946, were the owners of Millhuff’s Department Store and Super Market in Sciotoville and were both members of the Sciotoville Methodist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School. She later attended the Lucasville Church of God until she went to Hill View where she attended services. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde Rodney Millhuff II and Kimberly Millhuff of Wheelersburg, a daughter and son-in-law Marilyn Jean and Ed Taylor of Lucasville, a brother, Ronald Caudill of Minford, five granddaughters, Angela Hannah, Jennifer Millhuff, Natalie Stang, Kimberly Hensley, and Stephanie Addink, and seven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rancie “R.J.”, Lauren, and Trenton Hannah, and Erika, Daniel, and Jessica Hensley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Cline McAllister and Daniel Reid, ministers, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 4 until 6 p.m. on Thursday and one hour before the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to Hill View Retirement Center or SOMC Hospice.
