Wayne W. Williams, 78, of Sciotodale, died Friday, October 19, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice House. Born on April 1, 1934 in Scioto Furnace, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary Garey Williams and a carpenter at the former Empire-Detroit Steel Corp. for 43 years. Wayne was a member of Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church and Western Sun Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed bible study and gardening, and especially loved and enjoyed his kids and grandkids. He was a kidney recipient from his son, Ty, in 2003. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Everett, Bernard, Junior and Don Williams and three grandchildren, Adam David, Allison Blake and Matthew Blake Williams. Surviving are his wife, June Howell Williams, whom he married in 1953 in Greenup, KY, six children, Terry David (Ann Reber) of Columbus, Timothy Wayne (Carol) of Eden Park, Todd Matthew (Tracy) of Cincinnati, Tracie Denise (Kevin) Fannin of Minford, Ty Andrew of Minford and Thomas Howell (Amy) of Rigrish Addition, 13 grandchildren, Jason, Taylor, Kayla, Jeanie, Jeff, Samantha, Sydney, Laci, Luke, Kaci, Tyler, Mackenzie, and Elijah, and 10 great-grandchildren, Dayvaughn, Kason, Brayden, Adrianna, Jaida, Joe, Meighan, David, Kohen and Ella. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Ron Parker and Mike Simpson officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
