William Ross Dever, 38, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home. Born on October 7, 1983 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Robert R. Dever and Judy Bias Dever and was an attorney.
Billy was a member of P.S.K.C. and competed in the Iron Man event in Columbus this past July.
Also preceding him in death were his grandmother, Mary L. Dever, and grandparents Jennings and Virginia Bias.
Surviving are his father, Robert R. Dever of Wheelersburg, his mother, Judy Bias of Gallipolis, two sisters, Jessica Thomas of Wheelersburg and Lauren (Keara) Dever of Centerville; his grandfather, Robert E. (Helen) Dever of Wheelersburg; uncles Jeffrey Thomas Dever of Portsmouth and Jon (Joellen) Patrick Dever of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, an aunt, Mary Beth (Michael)Dever-Bartley of Powell and special friend, Renee Wallace of Portsmouth.
A service will be 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st, at Christ Community Church with Scott Rawlings officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Christ Community Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
The family is requiring masks both at the visitation and the funeral.
