Wilma L. Gilbert, 82, of Minford, died suddenly Monday, September 10, 2012, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room. Born on July 22, 1930 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Lois Ault Bobst and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville. Wilma was a 1947 graduate of Minford High School, bookkeeper for Millhuff’s in Sciotoville for over 40 years, and was currently a greeter at Wal-Mart for over 10 years. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Samuel Gilbert. Surviving are a son, Robert Gilbert of Minford, two brothers, Glen Bobst of Portsmouth and Donald Schomburg of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandsons, Sam Gilbert and Clayton Gilbert; 3 great-grandchildren, Mindy Lansing, Bronson Gilbert and Baillie; and a precious great-great granddaughter, Miley Lansing. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Caleb LaFond officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
